Irede Prayer programme came on board on 3rd September, 2011 at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Bolade Assembly, Oshodi District, Oshodi Area. The programme started at the Assembly level (Bolade Assembly), later, it was extended to District level and Area at large. As the move of God became more evident in the programme, it caught the attention of Christians in Lagos State, hence, it became interdenominational programme as members from other denominations both in Lagos and outside Lagos turn to the programme as their Shillo because God meets their needs physically and spiritually.
Initially, the programme was holding on Every 1st Saturday of the month between 7AM and 1PM, but later changed to Every 1st Friday of the month between 10PM and 5AM. The programme existed powerfully at Oshodi for ten (10) years which accompanied with feasible accomplishments.
The emergence of the programme, her rapid expansion as well as the sustainability gave birth to Open Air gospel Crusade in The Apostolic Church. In other words, the programme is the bedrock of the church outdoor revival usually conducted by the National Evangelist.
However, the wave of expansion of the programme became too big for The Apostolic Church Oshodi Area to accommodate because of the increase of mammoth on monthly basis, hence, it became a good problem for the church to handle.
It was during this period that God directed the authorities of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, LAWNA territory to transfer Pastor M.A. Oke, the National Evangelist to the National Headquarters of the church, which is situated at Oworonshoki – Ibadan Express way, opposite Chinnese Village, Olorunda Ketu, Lagos, the present location of Irede prayer programme.
