DARE NOT THE ANGER OF GOD

“… and he said, it is the Lord let him do whatever seemeth good”

I Sam. 3:18; 1 Sam. 2:31-36

Daring the anger of God is like kicking against the pricks. “… it is hard for you to kick against the pricks” – Acts 9:5. Daring God’s anger is, not taking His warnings seriously, saying, “let Him do whatever He wants to do” – 1Sam. 3:18c.

WHAT COULD BRING GOD’S ANGER?

The only causative factor of outpouring of the anger of God is SIN. There are sins of commission and omission, unfaithfulness, unrighteousness, lying, pride, stealing, murder, immoralities, etc. Whosoever is indulging in any of these or others without repentance and conversion is daring God’s anger and such person is playing with fire – Heb. 12:29.

SOME OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF DARING THE ANGER OF GOD

  1. A hardhearted ‘elect’ who dares God’s anger, and reaching an overflow level of the cup of His anger will be subjected to a “slow motion” death – 1Cor. 11:30.
  2. God’s presence and protection will be withdrawn – 1Sam. 16:14.
  3. God’s garment of honour will be removed and such person will be clothed with a garment of shame – 1Sam. 28:20-25.
  4. God may allow Satan to afflict the person with sickness that may not lead to death if per adventure he/she will repent – Psa. 119:67; 2 Cor. 12:7b.
  5. There will be an experience of labour loss which may lead to wretchedness, poverty and penury – Hag. 1:6.

Why not consider your way? The present position you are in, is it one which God purposed for you? Instead of giving, it is begging – 1Sam. 2:36

  • The adamant and impenitent sinner will be given to a reprobate mind because his/her conscience must have died – Rom. 1:28; 1Cor. 5:1.
  • If this sinner remains unyielding like the Egpytians who, despite passing through series of plagues and afflictions, remained hardened in hearts until their destruction in the Red Sea, then the pronouncement of the final judgment of God in Ezekiel 18:20a will come. The soul that sinneth shall die – (physical and spiritual death).

This merciful God is calling you to repentance. God, though merciful, he will not delay His judgment for ever – Psa. 103:9. Grace of God has expiry date – Isa. 55:6; Jer. 7:13-16; Prov. 1:24-28.

Harden not your heart. Come into term with God – Heb. 3:15. Reconcile with your creator – 2Cor. 5:20. Behold, today is the acceptable time for your salvation. Tomorrow may be too late. Why will you dare the anger of God until the EVIL DAY comes upon you? – Nahum 1:6, 8.

CONCLUSION

As the apple of the eyes of God, your sins, whatever they may be, are sins not unto death IF you confess, repent and change – 1 John 5:17. But if you refuse and dare the consequences of sins, God’s anger, then Ezekiel 18:20a will come to pass.

Therefore, come unto Him. He will abundantly pardon – Isa. 55:7. When God forgives you, FORGIVE YOURSELF and forget the past – Is a. 43:18.

You will start to experience restoration of your losses – Isa. 43:19.

You will now enjoy the companionship of God and man for you will become the cynosure of the people – Isa. 62:4.

You will receive God’s mercy because all your sins are forgiven – Prov. 28:13.

Above all, you will be a beneficiary of the benefits and goodness of God here on earth and in eternity as you have renounced worldliness and have aligned with God – Mark 10:30.

Rivers of joy will now flow in you and you will have peace.

God bless you

WHEN WILL YOU BE “ON-LINE” WITH GOD?

Behold I stand at the door and knock! If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me – Revelation 3:20 (KJV)

“… who hath hardened himself against him and hath prospered “? Job 9:4b (KJV)

WHAT IS MEANT BY “ON LINE”?

“On Line”, is one of computer terms.

It is, operating under the direct control of, or connected to, a main computer.

The heart of man is likened to a hand set with sim card and data (Holy Spirit) installed whose network must be connected with God.

WHAT ARE THE CATERIA TO BE “ON-LINE”?

  1. There must be a functional handset. A handset which has sim card(s) installed in it. Spiritually, the handset to be “on-line” with God is a willing heart, a submissive heart – John 3:16.
  2. A Whatsapp account must be created. This is a believing heart (John 6:29; 11:26). A heart that is prepared, ready to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ which will bear fruits – Matt. 13:8.
  3. There must be data purchased into the Whatsapp. Without data, the whatsapp account is valueless. The data here is the Holy Spirit of God. A being, without the Holy Spirit of God cannot connect with God. Such a person can not even be recognized by God – Rom. 8:9, 14
  4. The handset must be On. Many times, messages are sent but there will no response because the set is off-line. This is opening the door of your heart for God to dwell in it as His abode. “… if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him” – Rev. 3:20b
  5. The handset must be charged. The heart must be alive, quickened, stimulated. It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life – John 67:63. Your prayer life must be charged, enlivened. Pray without ceasing – 1Thess. 5:17.
  6. There must be a willingness to read the message sent – Isa. 1:19. There is need to constantly meditate on the word of God (the message) – Joshua 1:8; Psa. 1:2; 119:16.

There must be, this time around, divine intervention to break any stony heart. That is, there must be network – John 15:4-6.

  • Act on the message read. It is then that you are ‘on-line’ with God. He that hath ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches – Rev. 3:22.

As someone who would want to receive and read message from his whatsapp needs let his handset be on-line, so also anybody who desires to communicate with God (communing with God and receiving answer from Him) such one needs to be on-line with God by making his heart ready for God.

The earlier one got connected to God, the better. The world is no longer in need of you because you have already declared that you are for Christ. But, now you have cut off your line with God.

If, after pleadings and warnings by God you still remain adamant, the pursuer (Devil) will now come upon you. You will call on God but your call will enter a Voicemail.

Meaning, God will act to deliver you after a little delay, testing you whether it is because of the devil’s threat you now call on Him. If after that little time of refreshing from God comes to you, your dog goes back to its vomit, you will call and the final response will be, THE CUSTOMER YOU ARE CALLING IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT – Isa. 55:6; THE CUSTOMER YOU ARE CALLING IS NOT RESPONDING – Jer. 7:16.

At this point, you are on your own. The devil will now visit you with his sledgehammer.

Brethren, before this time of agony comes upon you, shun all youthful lusts and worldliness – unfaithfulness, fornication, lying, cultism, yahoo-yahoo, malice, idolatry, and pursuit of wants instead of needs etc – Rom. 12:16. Separate yourself from WHOSOEVER will lead you to sin – Eph. 5:6; Evil company corrupts good manners – 1Cor. 15:33.

Therefore, let your set be On, charge it and be “on-line” with God.

You are blessed.

YOU HAVE A CASE TO ANSWER

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, Whether it be good or bad.”2Cor. 5:10; Matt. 7:22, 23.

In as much as you have refused to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, He, who could shed light to your path, not to go the way of Satan, you have a case to answer.

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19.

Dear Reader, have this understanding that there is life after death. If you did evil (all ungodly acts) while on earth, after your death you will resurrect and face judgment. If you surrendered yourself to doing good (godly conducts) when you were alive, a day to recompense you for your deeds is coming. Whether you died young or you we re as old as Methuselah, you will appear before the judgment throne to receive the rewards of your works.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged outof those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”Revelation 20:12.

There is no hiding place to escape the judgment. It does not matter the type of death you died. Whether you were lucky to be buried, or you were devoured by animals, burnt by fire, drowned and eaten by fish etc, these agents of death will surrender you for judgment.

And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged every man according to their worksRev. 20:13; Psa. 139:7-12.

Know you not that Satan, man’s accuser, always levels accusations against man? He will call a thief to steal in the farm, and he will be the one to draw the attention of the farmer to the thief. He will be directing the affairs of your life to act contrary to the will of God.

Having seeing that you are neck-deep in the miry clay of sins, he will go before God to accuse you so as not to receive the favour of God. But, if you allow Jesus in your life, even if you fall into sin, Jesus will be your advocate before God – 2 John 2:1, 2.

He will make a plea before God, praying God to temper justice with mercy. “… in wrath, remember mercy.” – Habakkuk 3:2c. Satan is an instructor, a deceiver, a prosecutor and at the same times a persecutor. The very point where he is missing it is that he does not know when Jesus reconciles man with God. He will still be presenting a forgiven sin as an allegation/charge against you before God.

At this moment, if you have accepted Jesus into your life, He will just make a No-Case submission before God, being your advocate.

But the times of ignorance God winked at, (acquittal) but he commandeth all men everywhere to repent Acts 17:30

Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he appointed … Acts 17:31.

1John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The already adjudged case (the forgiven sin) where you have been discharged and acquitted cannot be brought against you again. If Satan alleges you on that again, a cost will be awarded against him (condemnation to hell fire) in your favour. But, if you ignore Jesus, who will be your advocate? Who will defend you before God Almighty? – Heb. 7:25.

The devil you have devoted your whole life for is the very one that will robe you and implicate you before God.

Who will defend you from your nefarious acitivities?

Be prepared to face your trial.

“But who can stand before His indignation, and who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the the rocks are thrown down by Him.” – Nahum 1:6

  • How you turn yourself to be prostitute when God calls your body His temple, you have a case to answer – 1Cor. 3:17; 6:18-20.
  • How you shed innocent blood for money ritual, power and through abortion, when God has commanded that you should not kill, you have a case to answer – Exodus 20:13.
  • How you honour and worship the creation instead of the creator, when your creator says you should not bow to any other god, you have a case to answer – Exodus 20:3-5.
  • How you take delight in committing adultery when God forbids adultery, you have a case to answer – Exodus 20:4.
  • How you manouvre and manipulate to cover your unfaithfulness and unrighteousness when God says all unrighteousness is sin, you have a case to answer – 1John 5:17a.
  • How you destroy your neighbours to seek favour from higher authority in order to be promoted, when God has cursed those that spoil their neighbours, you have a case to answer – Isaiah 33:1.
  • How you abandon the house of God, gathering with the people of God, when God says forsake not the assembling together of yourselves, you have a case to answer – Hebrew 10:25.
  • How you turn yourself to a drunkard, you who are created in the likeness and image of God, you who have been bought with a price, you have a case to answer – 1Cor. 6:20.
  • How you become an ingrate despite God’s benevolence upon you. When you are expected to bear good fruits you bear sour fruits, you have a case to answer – Isaiah 5:4.
  • How you collect extra levies above that which the law stipulates to put hardship on the citizens, you have a case to answer – Luke 3:13, 14.
  • How you exploit the weakness of your neighbor to deprive him of his rights or substance, remember what Jacob passed through, you have a case to answer – Gen. 25:30, 31; Isa. 10:1, 2.
  • How you cause destruction and death to a whole family and even the nation by your yahoo yahoo business, when you have been warned not to extort, you have a case to answer – Ezek. 22:12-14.

Surrender to Jesus Christ who will plead with the Father so that your sins will be forgiven and they will not be imputed on you – Psalm 32:12a.

There is no other way you can be free and justified except through the intercession and reconciliation works of Jesus Christ between you and the Father.

The end of the matter is, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” – Hebrews 10:31. Failure to be reconciled with God through Jesus Christ, you have a case to answer.

Therefore, repent of all your sins and accept Jesus Christ into your life today, tomorrow may be too late.

And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, Or make a lie: But they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 21:27.

WHERE NEXT, AFTER HERE?

Every human being should be mindful of the fact that after death there is an eternity to live. It is when man is on the earth that he will do the work of the eternity he chooses to live. There are two places where the eternity will be spent. Eternity in heaven (the kingdom of heaven) and eternity in hell (the kingdom of Satan). God is so democratic that he gives man freedom to choose where he will like to spend his eternity. However, God will spell out the experiences man will have in each of the two abodes. It is now left to man to choose either of the two.

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and shall be my son” (heaven) – Rev. 21:7

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake (hell) which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death.” – Rev. 21:8

O man! The question for you to answer now is, where next, after here? After death we will all resurrect. After your resurrection where next? Your deeds here on earth will answer the question.

“And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Rev. 22:12

The first act that will qualify you to enter the kingdom of God is your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

But whosoever refuses to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour invites God’s wrath on himself. Why not do that today tomorrow may be too late; for you don’t know when you will die.

“He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth in him.” John 3:36

God loves you hence his calling on you to come to him to have rest from all the troubles of this world – Matt. 11:28-30.

28. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am weak and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy; and my burden is light.”

The world is full of afflictions, sufferings, persecutions, hunger, etc. Why will you suffer here on earth and end up suffering again in heaven.

Come unto Jesus for the cleansing power that you may be washed in the blood of the lamb.

No matter your sinful condition, Jesus is ready to wash you clean and you will then qualify to reign with Him at your resurrection.

“Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isa. 1:18.

Your next habitation after leaving here will be the kingdom of heaven with Christ. There you will live an eternity full of joy, glory and peace – Rev. 22:3, 4

3. “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4. And they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their foreheads.”

Join the train that is kingdom of heaven bound.

God bless you.

IT WILL BE YOU ONE DAY

“O That they were wish that they understand this, that they would consider their end” Deuteronomy 32:29

“So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts to wisdom“

Psalm 90:12.

You have been seen obituary posters, and attending several burial ceremonies of friends, in-laws, relatives, young, old, the rich and the poor, one day it will be your own obituary and burial ceremony.

Have you ever considered these about your life and your end that:

  1. No condition is permanent?
  2. God is no respecter of position, title or age?
  3. You will die one day?
  4. The only property you have on earth is just a portion of land of six feet?
  5. It may be only those neighbours you hated when you were alive that will be available to dig your grave?
  6. There is judgment awaiting you after death?
  7. There is a place of eternity for you after death, a place of no-return?

No Condition is Permanent

God favours you and puts you in a position of authority. Instead of you using the opportunity to lift your subordinates, it is oppression and frustration they get from you.

The table may turn round and it will be you looking up to the hitherto oppressed. Remember Joseph and his brethren, Genesis 37:19, 20 and Gen. 50:18-20.

Hannah the barren became the mother of children, while Penina and her children’s names are heard no more. I Samuel 1:2; 2:5. “God raised up the poor out of the dust, and lifted the beggar out of the dunghill…” I Samuel 2:8.

Be wise and have the understanding that no condition is permanent. You will leave that position one day. A dead man’s biography will be read one day and it will be you.

God is No Respecter of Position Title, or Age.

The position God has put you is not to lord it over God’s heritage. God does not reckon with your position, title or age. He is only concerned about those who serve Him. Eli, the aged, the most senior prophet in Israel, was abandoned for Samuel, the young and the child who was still in the School of the Prophets.

Saul, the veteran soldier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces of Israel, the number one citizen of the country was rejected and in his place, David, the young, bush and catapult boy was anointed. Because of your disobedience, arrogance and non-challance, a pronouncement to rejected people as unto Eli, “… for them that honour me, I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed”, I Samuel 2;30, and I Samuel 15:26 “… the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel”, may come forth again and it will be you.

You Will Die One Day

It is an inherited curse from the Garden of Eden that we shall all die. “… for dust art thou and unto dust shall thou return”. Gene. 3:19c.

Some people appear not to have the understanding of this decree from God. They behave as if they will live on earth forever. The truth is that a lamentation shall be chorused one day concerning some one that has died thus,” how has this mighty man fallen…” and it will be you.

The only Property you have on Earth is just a portion of Land of six feet.

Of a truth, your family was the first settler in that geographical area you are dying on. But, know that the land belongs to God. For the fact that, by virtue of your grand-parents being the first settlers is not a criterion for you wanting to acquire all alone. One day you will leave the land and the only portion out of the hectares you dominated will be only six feet. At your demise, riddles and jokes will be said, “Once upon a time, there lived a land grabber who died and could not carry the land to heaven,” and it will be you.

It may be only those neighbours you hated when you were alive that will be available to dig your grave.

There will be an uproar, wailing, mourning one day. A wailer will announce your death. Neighbours will be inquiring who could that be, and it would be you.

Your siblings will be put into an unnecessary sycophancy, pleading with the neighbours you hated so much when you were alive, to help them dig your grave. It will be a bad luck of the highest order to be that it is your biological children that will dig your grave.

O that you are wise now and have an understanding of time and happenings you should consider your end and be accommodating while yet alive.

There is judgment awaiting you after death

A book will be opened and another one also will be opened.

A roll-call will be made. It may be that you used your substances to work in the house of God just for an eye service but failed to believe and have genuine repentance. The rewards of the work will be awaiting the owner. But, because the owner does not qualify to be there and upon a thorough inquiry about the owner, it may be found that it is you. Why not stop hypocrisy and eye service while still living that the reward of your works would not be given to another person.

There is a place of eternity for you, a place of no return.

It is given unto man to die once. After your death you will resurrect one day. Every dead will resurrect. Some unto eternal joy while some unto eternal gnashing of teeth. Why not

consider your end and question yourself as the man of old asked, “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?”

While you still have breath why not plead with God to teach you to number your days so as to apply your heart to wisdom, so that you will start doing right that it will not be you that will be one of those adjudged for hell-fire. Your days are numbered on earth. For a day is coming, lest it happen that after your death, God will speak to the righteous ones still alive that, that your pastor, the elder, the church member, your governor, president who you took to be saints when he/she was alive, is not with me, lost in transit. On making spiritual inquiry, it is found to be you.

Apply your heart to wisdom and consider your end.

WHAT ARE THE CONTENTS OF YOUR LUGGAGE?

You Will Be Checked at the Border!

ISAIAH 35:8

(WETIN YOU CARRY?)

As a pilgrim, a traveller leaving your domain and crossing over to another, across the shore, you should be conscious that the Custom Officer would rummage through the contents of your luggage.

There would be a hasty search of your luggage. Hasty, because there are many people, many luggage to search.

Why the search? The land you are crossing over to, there are items that the nationals, the government there, forbid from entering their land.

However, as hasty as the search may be, there is a Detector. The moment the detector “sniffs” contraband, there would be a “hold-on”. Attention would be drawn to you. You will now become a “special person” that an attendant would be assigned to.

You will be called to untie your luggage. They would want to know the contents. “Wetin you carry?”

A detection of a single forbidden item in your luggage earns you the forfeiture of your travelling fare, your property, and above all, your freedom.

Man is sent to this world as a trader in the market. There are many goods sold in the market but not all are good to buy by any reasonable and godly person.

1 Cor. 10:23 – All things are lawful for me but all things are not expedient, all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

As people that profess Christianity, there are items that are not to be found in your luggage, (your spiritual load). The Bible calls them WORKS OF THE FLESH – Gal. 5:19-21 (Amplified Bible).

Verse 19 – Now the   works (practices) of the flesh are manifest, which are these: adultery (immorality), fornication, (impurity), uncleaniness (indecency),

Verse 20 – idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies).

Verse 21 – Envy, drunkenness, carousing and the like. These are the works, practices of the flesh. If you carry any of these along, on getting to the border the Holy Spirit (the spiritual detector) will detect it, and automatically you are disqualified from going to the land of the king of Heaven.

The moment you get to the border with this spiritual contraband, you will go no further. You will be shown the place where you belong to. You will lose all the monies you have contributed – tithes, donations, offerings, alms, etc, the reward of your work and labour will be lost.

The worst part is that the moment you get to the border with these forbidden items in your luggage, no more chance to take them out of the luggage.

Worst still, if you are one that have not even accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord before you die, there is no way for you for the most accursed contraband are already in your luggage – Disobedience and Rebellion.

John 3:36 – He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Brethren, while yet alive why not untie your luggage, remove all the spiritual contraband that are still there. When you are caught at the border no more remedy.

Dear readers, how comes that yahooyahoo, banditry, ritual killing, gambling, cheating, unfaithfulness, hatred, evil jealousy, rape, etc. are found in your luggage? Know you not that all these and others not mentioned are spiritual contraband? Why not jettison them from your luggage!

If you, that are reading this piece have not even accepted Jesus Christ into your life, why not throw away the old luggage, take a new one, fill it with godly items (attitude) – faith, kindness, humility, etc – Galatians 5:22.

Doing this you earn for yourself an automatic PASS to the heavenly kingdom.

Therefore, all professors of Christianity (Christians by mouth) and those of you, having read this tract, you decide to accept Jesus Christ, do away with any spiritual contraband in your luggage while you are still alive for, getting to the border with them you can no longer hide or remove them and they will become exhibits against you.

The grace to personally check our luggage and remove the removable before the heavenly custom officers would want to know, WETIN YOU CARRY?, check and detect the unwanted, may God grant you and I, amen.
